Available Procedures

Facelift

Facelift surgery treats sagging skin, excess fat deposits, jowls or the loss of youthful contours in the face and neck. Although a facelift won't stop the natural aging process, it helps correct wrinkles, expression lines and other visible signs of aging in the face and neck.

Necklift

A neck lift is a surgical procedure that can address a number of cosmetic concerns and improve the appearance of the neck. As you age, drooping skin and excess fat around the neck can create jowl lines, excessive wrinkling, and a “turkey neck” that can detract from your natural beauty. A neck lift surgery is a cosmetic procedure that helps improve the appearance of the neck, helping unleash a more youthful and ravishing you.

Lip Lift

With lip lift surgery, patients can increase their lip fullness and give their lips a youthful appearance. A lip lift procedure involves the removal of skin and tissue from beneath the nose.

Primary Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)

Rhinoplasty surgery simultaneously improves an individual's nasal proportions and overall facial appearance. It helps a person correct nasal defects like a bump on the bridge of the nose or a bulbous nasal tip. At the same time, a nose job brings balance to the face. It allows a person to reshape or resize his or her nose, ensuring the nose complements all other facial features.

Revision Rhinoplasty (Nose Job)

A revision rhinoplasty is used to correct aesthetic or functional problems related to a prior nose job. For example, if a primary rhinoplasty patient has trouble breathing through his or her nose after surgery, a revision nose job is available to treat this issue. Or, if a nose job results in an unbalanced facial appearance, a revision rhinoplasty helps restore facial harmony.

Upper Blepharoplasty (Upper Eye Lift)

The upper portion of the eye can be broken down into two units – the eyelid and the eyebrow. An upper blepharoplasty (also called “upper bleph” or “eye lift”) involves the gentle reduction of the eyebrow skin, leading to reduction of upper lid heaviness and excess skin or fat deposits.

Upper blepharoplasty is used to treat excess folds of the upper eyelid skin, baggy upper eyelids and overused muscles that strain to lift sagging upper eyelid skin. The result is more refreshed, youthful and open eyes.

Lower Blepharoplasty (Lower Eye Lift)

Lower eyelid blepharoplasty reduces puffiness of the lower eyelids. It treats under-eye bags, drooping lower eyelids and excess fat deposits in the eyelids.

Browlift (endoscopic)

An endoscopic brow lift involves the gentle lifting of the outside portion of the brow, creating a more youthful shape to the brow. It can be performed simultaneously with an upper blepharoplasty. The procedure is performed using a fiber optic camera through hidden, minimally invasive incisions in the hair. Under full visualization, the brow is gently released from its deeper attachments and repositioned in a more aesthetically appropriate position.

During an endoscopic brow lift, Dr. Cabin makes an incision above a patient's temples. Dr. Cabin next inserts a fiber optic camera that enables him to perform the procedure below a patient's skin. He then examines the treatment area and makes a small incision into a patient's eyebrow. At this time, Dr. Cabin loosens or removes muscle, pulls tissue and skin upward and stitches up the treatment area.

A typical endoscopic brow lift requires about an hour to complete. Patients sometimes experience swelling and bruising in the initial days after an endoscopic brow lift, and these symptoms may last for three to seven days. Additionally, the end results of an endoscopic brow lift often remain visible for up to 10 years.

Chin Augmentation

Chin augmentation, also known as mentoplasty, involves the placement of a small implant in the front of the chin bone. The implant can increase and enhance the length of the jawline, resulting in a balanced, natural-looking facial appearance.

Facial Fat Transfer

The fat transfer to face process enables people to use fat from numerous body sites to bolster their facial appearance.

Fat grafting and injectable filler treatments are similar. However, during a fat transfer to face procedure, an individual uses his or her own body tissue. This eliminates the risk of an allergic reaction or rejection of the tissue. It also means the results of a fat grafting treatment usually last longer than those of an injectable filler procedure.

During a typical fat transfer to face procedure, fat is harvested via a small incision in the neck. Next, the fat is cleansed, concentrated and injected into the desired area of the face to help provide a full facial rejuvenation.

Buccal Fat Pad Removal

Buccal fat pad removal is a cosmetic surgery that involves the removal of excess fat pads from the cheeks. During these procedures, Dr. Cabin eliminates excess fat pads from the cheeks, resulting in a balanced, youthful-looking facial appearance.

Sub-mental Liposuction

Submental liposuction helps tighten the muscles beneath the chin. By doing so, it minimizes the appearance of a double chin and improves the chin’s contour. The procedure can remove chin fat and improve the appearance of the chin. Yet submental liposuction does not remove extra skin in the face. This way some submental liposuction patients, a facelift or neck lift is sometimes used to tighten the facial skin.

Otoplasty (Ear Pinning)

Otoplasty refers to any surgery that repositions or changes the shape of a patient’s ears. Most commonly, it is used to describe the reduction of prominent ears (also referred to as “ear pinning”). Using minimally invasive, sometimes incisionless surgery, ears can be made more symmetric, more natural and/or more appropriate in their relationship to the scalp.

Dr. Cabin is particularly focused on children, teenagers and young adults with prominent ears. Through a quick surgery using hidden incisions, ears can be brought to a more natural position closer to the head, without any signs of surgery.

Scar Revision

After surgery or trauma, many patients are left with scars that are unsightly, uncomfortable or restrict normal function. Dr. Cabin is an expert in multi-modality scar revision, helping to shrink, hide and eliminate scars, new or old. Using a combination of in-office injections, microneedling, laser resurfacing and/or revision surgery, Dr. Cabin has achieved unprecedented success in the reduction and elimination of scars.

Reconstructive surgery (for traumatic wounds or those caused by cancer resection)

Dr. Cabin brings to years of extensive cosmetic and reconstructive experience to restore harmony to the face. The goal balance, symmetry and optimized healing, with minimal evidence of any injury or surgery.

Patients who undergo MOHS surgery are frequency left with skin defects in areas that are visually obvious and/or functionally critical. Dr. Cabin is called upon by MOHS dermatologists to use reconstructive techniques to repair these areas.

Various forms of trauma can result in lacerations, or cuts, that require stitches to be placed. Because the body begins to heal quickly, for optimal healing there is a small time window for surgical repair. As such, many patients end up in the emergency room, only to wait for hours to have stitches places by a general emergency room doctor with no specialized surgical training.

As a plastic surgeon, Dr. Cabin provides meticulous closure of incisions, minimizing scarring and maximizing cosmetic result. By using small, carefully placed stitches in a multi-layer closure, Dr. Cabin can turn even a large injury into a nearly invisible, long-term result.

Non-surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty – often called “liquid rhinoplasty”, “non-surgical nose job” or “liquid nose job” – refers to the quick and easy placement of dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid to improve the shape of the nose. These fillers are all temporary (as the body naturally breaks it down over time) but they typically last up to 2 years or beyond.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a perfect solution for treating cosmetic issues that are bothersome from the side profile - like humps, bumps or nasal tip shape/angle. This treatment does not treat breathing issues, and is limited in its ability to treat certain contour irregularities from the front view.

In the rare case that a patient no longer likes the effect of the fillers, at any time they can be dissolved by a quick injection in the office, bringing the nose back to its previous form. This makes non-surgical rhinoplasty an excellent option for patients who want certain cosmetic changes to their nose without the risk or expense of surgery.
