Molly Walterhoefer, MD, FAAD of SkinDC just outside of Washington DC, specializes in general and surgical dermatology. She obtained a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University and then went on to graduate at the top of her class from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine internship at Washington Hospital Center and a dermatology residency at the University of Maryland. She has authored numerous book chapters and journal publications in addition to presenting at national conferences on topics pertaining to skin pigmentation, rosacea, and hair loss. Throughout residency she remained an active member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, attending their Premier Resident Cosmetic Symposium where she honed her cosmetic and surgical skills, training under industry leaders. She has a comprehensive yet manageable approach to skin care concerns, believing that proper education and careful consideration of a patient’s individual priorities, preferences, and lifestyle choices produce the best results.
